My name is Pretti. I was born Tiara Thomas. A lady never tells her age so I’m old enough I’m a beauty mogul. From Miami, Florida living in Atlanta. Keep in mind I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my shit!
Your brand name is very unique, what was the inspiration behind it?
Well, people have always called me pretty. My mom, family, friends, you know people. I’ve just always felt like Pretty was wayyyy more than skin deep. It’s about your soul. The part of you people can’t see. My business has been called a lot of things but for once it has a name So Pretty like I just love saying it! Don’t you?
When did you start doing hair and why?
I started doing hair when I was a little girl. I used to have dolls. My mom taught me to Plair and I taught myself how to braid and my curiosity and creativity grew from there. So all my life and because well, I wanted to.
Do you feel like the hair business is becoming an over saturated market with so many self proclaimed hairstylist popping up daily?
I feel like that’s none of my business. There’s enough money out here for everybody to eat. I’m too focused on me to worry about the next man's pockets.
Where do you see the so pretty brand in 5 years?
Wow, I could say so much and for reasons, I’m sure you could understand when it comes to business, I will have to refrain from doing so. I will say in the next 5 years So Pretty will definitely be a household name.
What's the most rewarding thing about being a girl boss?
The freedom and the power. Knowing I’m building a legacy for my children.
I see that your brand is located in the Metro Atlanta area, Atlanta is said to have the best hair stylist. What city or state do you feel is the next runner up to having the best hair stylist?
Miami hands down and Detroit they’re like baby hair Gawds hunny! OKkkkkkk.
